I have espn+ for this and so that I can watch the @Senators !! Of course I have it. Was just saying you would think for one of the biggest tennis tournaments in the world it would be on main network that’s all.
espn+ costs $10/mo. you can literally watch 100% of all matches live or on demand for 10 bucks. it’s never been so good to be a tennis fan. having it on linear tv gets you one match and not one of your choosing. i’ll never understand all this weird hand wringing.
How is there no coverage of this match in the States 🤯🤬
Korda d. Medvedev is a massive moment for American tennis, but ESPN and ESPN2 are currently talking about the NFL playoffs and showing basketball and hockey highlights. Do any American tennis executives, tourney directors, or tour officials think this is a serious problem?
Bitterly ironic that at a tournament where American tennis players are doing so well, ESPN has dramatically scaled back its coverage and, accordingly, any real attempt to make the Australian Open more visible and accessible to the American public.
How indeed! Sad to see that @espn has pretty much done a "catch and kill" on the Australian Open in the US for basic cable subscribers. Seems they are trying to force people to subscribe to #espn+ #shameless #australianopen2023
Corporate greed. @espn wants you and me and everyone interested to pay for their streaming service ESPN+. Meanwhile, they show a bunch of blowhards arguing about football and basketball ad infinitum on their morning shows. 💰
Watching tennis in America is already so damn difficult and they’re just making it worse. So disappointed with ESPN’s coverage of the AO.
